June 13, 2008 1:51 pm Joe And Petrina's BlogSeriously. Like what Joe said, you guys have been fantastic. We never did expect this sort of response from our listeners even beyond the morning hours.
Even though I’m beginning to see the emergence a a few potential ‘blog-stalkers’, (blalkers??) I believe all of you are like me, quite the ah lian/beng one. Minus the blond hair, long fingernail and chut chut sound effect, we are basically fiercely loyal to our friends. ’Jiang yi qi’ as the chinese would say. You do something bad to my ‘peng yew’, I pull out all your fingernails. (okay, I actually don’t really know how to do that, but I can find people who know)
Now you all make me very kang kor lor!! People quit already, now after all this, I feel like coming back. See lah. Backside itchy.
But don’t worry, I won’t anyhow quit here then suddenly appear there one. Not my style. I am really not in the position to ‘come again’ if you know what I mean. I wouldn’t have quit otherwise.
It’s just that with your overwhelming support now, it does make it hard to leave this COE (Circle of Entertainment) But I have no doubt that my good friend here, Ah Joe, is more than capable of wrecking radio havoc on the scene with his giant mic-hete (geddit geddit…mic plus machete…hahaahhah..)
I am so lame. Speaking of which, I’ve been doing some hot yoga lately. And I tell you…it is HOT! Like kena sweat in areas previously with no sweat glands. I felt dizzy and almost threw-up a few times, but hey, I made it through the class. But I must say there were a few aunties in the class who were bloody good. Twisting and contorting their wrinkled sweaty bodies with grace and ease whilst your young nubile friend here, collapsed a couple of times into the child pose to hang my head in shame. Even the uncle with the pot-belly faired better than me. So I’m going to do more yoga so I can one day out-cobra, out-down dog and out-crane them! Hai-yah!

From the way that this blog site is going, I have a good business instinct that tells me that both of you guys can start channelling vocal capabilities into marketing blogs.
Apart from getting over 161,400 hits for the past 11 days, but rather from the way I read Petrina’s post here, it seems inevitable that the style of conversation is almost an exact replicate of what I have been listening to the morning show in FM 91.3 when both of you were hosting then.
Honestly, this could be a side business for both of you to think about *wink*
Once again, I look forward in 2 months’ time to hear some good news for Joe.

Isn’t yoga supposed to help you achieve some level of tranquility. sweating? nausea? contortion? falling down? Petrina, if you have to do this to yourself, you are obviously not ready to take time out – hehe … must “sabo” a bit. I’ll let the rest badger you to do a comeback.

Petrina, we understand that you have decided to quit radio for your family and now the delimma about coming back with this overwhelming support.
We didn’t support you like some drip blood, sworn brothers/sisters-hood, but we support you like a true blue great radio personality that gotten many addicted to your program like some drug.
We are facing a helpless cold-turkey.
“chut chut” do you hear us? We love to have your voice back on air. Work out your time and schedule and if time permits, do some radio in the mist of your time with Joe.
I’ll trim my nose digging nails and donate it to your ex-station and tell them to go eat it.
Whatever color you are next (no more orange), we play color with you. Not those neon biang colors alrite, we are ‘lao bengs and lao lians’ now.

Bwhahhahaa… Joe.. I stalk u instead. And I know where u live *evil laughter abounds*… Can u tell that we’re all shivering from all that cold turkey?! No “baking” is going to help… know what I mean? Seriously.. the new show has no standard, no chemistry and is truely a pain to listen to. *touching my ears.. oopps! bleeding!* I need better radio… time to change frequency till you both update us on the new BIG NEWS of your return.

You know we would podcast already if we actually had a studio to do it in… It’s just that my home studio’s closet right now and that’s way too small to do a show from.

i’m not sure if you’re aware of big bands that do accoustic performances in clubs once in a long while. def leppard did theirs in sheffield, and bands go back to abbey road for a simple recording. back to basics etc.
which isn’t a bad idea, as you go on an airwave hiatus. i did a little broadcasting back in early ‘04, with some online friends. it was the rage back then. some 3.5 hours i did took about over 40MB. mono on 32kbps. recorded as i streamed live over 256 (or 512) kbps connection. and relayed by the direct connectors downstream to the other listeners.
setup: winamp and some plugins, a quiet room with a good mike (which can keep down the ’surrounding air’ sound), a good soundcard (i was using soundblaster live 5.1, i think), and a show can be recorded. control all via computer/laptop keyboard.
i think the bigger problem, is the mp3 music.
as for all the sweating, that’s where all the huge supply of toilet papers will come in handy…
anyway, just a suggestion. the sky’s the limit.

The wait is getting shorter. Can see the “less than 2 months” being now “even closer to that major announcement”. Awaits the big day.

wah..last time when you had your show on, i see only one or two comments, now after one resigned to be Tai Tai supreme and the other kena pocked, you see so many comments!!!….its lidat, sometimes we human beings never know what we are missing till its gone….
for eg….when my $$$ was in my wallet, i never know how to appreciate and sayang it….i didnt even know $2=education, $5=garden city, $10=sports, $50=Arts, $100=youth, $1000= cheng hu, but now it is gone after that late late goal by Spain against sweden….i suddenly realised i miss my $$ soooo much..that $$$ could have lasted me half a year of supper….
fate has been cruel to me last couple of weeks…take away my fav radio show….and now the $$ that was in my wallet just 5 mins ago….bastard…

i can sense that the initial angst and confusion has slowly been etched out of the system… there are bigger aims to accomplish now!
keep us in the loop wrt the grand design. stalker or not, we are here for you guys as much as you guys are here for us… heh. i like this relationship. much more personal than even radio (since previously i don’t even call into the show)

My husband and I usually send my daughter to NUS campus and the 3 of us really enjoyed your morning show.
My husband and I went for holiday in Europe mid May and came back recently and did not know what was going on.
We thought both of you went on holiday too and will be back every morning since 1st June, we were waiting for annoucement to say when you guys will be back but had no patience to hear out the jibberish by these 2 guys. We will turn the 91.3 on and when it is not either of your voice, we changed to 95FM.
We missed you guys. You guys brought my girl closer to us and bridge the generation gap.
There is so much to say and tell what you guys did for us but it will be to lor soh.
Please inform me when you are back on the radio. Any channel any time. We will be there with your ears.

I really need good radio. I am starting to get tired of Rod’s program now.
The last week (till now), they’re doing this stupid “Your Father’s Road” and “Your Father’s Day” topic. Really, no originality, nothing interesting. What’s so funny about that anyway?
