If I was more like a woman, I might feel compelled to hire one. Actually I did. But not to sort through mail and manage my now non-existent career, but to manage my household, so I will not be toilet paperless again. Yes, I’m not what is known as a xian qi liang mu. (virtuous wife, loyal mother) And in my mother in law’s words, I like to play, I like to kay-poh etc. So I’m not exactly the most organised mothering type.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a sucker for all things domestic, Martha Stewart, Real Simple, Target etc, but I appreciate the aesthetics much more than the application. It’s just that when time is limited and one feels compelled to engage in more than just ‘poo-poo and pee pee’ talk, one must look for help in areas that are essential to run an efficient household. So yes, I’ve now got me two domestic helpers. Something I never thought I’d do, but then again, I did the Tower of Terror right?
One thing though, those of you with two helpers in the house, is it better to have both from the same country (ie, Megawati or Gloria) or do like Suharto and divide and conquer?
Right now as it stands, I’m dividing and conquering, but would love to hear from people about their experiences…(yikes, too late right?)
Anyway, am knee deep in going through my old (pregnancy) clothes (yes I still have them and am STILL wearing them one year on!) and have decided to do serious wardrobe make-over. Anybody want hardly worn, rather trendy non-mumsy clothes? It’s quite horrible but I’ve got some stuff here that could even fit Joe…
Vodcast is a great idea, since we’ve had quite a lot of experience yakking to video on asiaone.com. Plus we’re so good-looking somemore! ON LAH!

Petrina…you so funny one. I am suffering from withdrawal syndrome now that Sex and The City has come to an end. And on top of that I’ve got to deal with you two not going on air anymore…how can…life is not so sweet anymore.
By the way do you think the SATC ladies will do a reunion when they are all in retirement homes….that’ll crack me up for sure.
You and Joe also can do a show when in retirement home lah….like now.

hi pet and joe.
firstly, this is my first time on this blog. reason being we always listen to ur show daily religiously. even though we go through a stretch of upper bukit timah road where 91.3fm mysteriously goes all static (but all mediacorp stations work fine. hmm), we rather listen to the static in the hope of catching bits and pieces of you guys, rather than to switch over to stupid other stations. now that you guys are gone, this is the only place we can get our daily source of pet-jo crap.
secondly, my girlfriend and i are devastated when we found out about the whole story. and we are utterly disappointed with them. my girlfriend was so upset that she couldn’t work properly for half a day when she heard the news. you guys accompanied her every single morning on her way to work. since 2006. and i was more pissed off at the way that joe was kicked out. no frigging chance of letting the 2 of you to at least tell US THE LISTENERS what was going on. bloody inconsiderate and rude of them! we have both written our own complaints to the feedback dept of 91.3fm with our ’strong’ feedback.
thirdly, i’d like you guys to press on and come up with even bigger things on bigger stages. as the hokkien song goes “na si wa wu ji pa ban..” if i had a million dollars, i’d open a radio station and just have 1 channel for you 2 to run.
we miss you guys, every single morning.

Bryan, I’d like to say that a million dollars would do the trick, but I appreciate the thought.
We have had reception problems in that area because of the proximity to the broadcast sites of the MCorp stations.

Joe glad to know you are seeking to make a return to radio….hope you have something concrete soon….actually i was thinking of writing a poem to offer my encouragment, strength, courage, redemption, good fortune and luck but then i realised i only know how to write dirty poems..hehehehe

After reading the New Paper today,I definitely want petrina and joe back, because if the DJ is Shiek Hakel or the iron shiek(whateva!! i don’t care),he will definitely talk about how great liverfool was then and i hate to hear about liverfool this and liverfool(Liverpool) that.They are already a history and he keeps coming back with all those nonsense and act as though he’s very cool.(he can kiss my ass for that).. At least both Petrina and Joe were very neutral in discussing in the BPL with Elliot Danker,i will definitely miss the 3 stars team of Joe,Petrina and Elliot Danker, at least the nonsense that you 3 made are entertaining .I think right now every morning, i should listen to Armin van Buuren’s Trance instead of “The Iron Shiek(S***)” babbling rubbish.. i hope that the 3 of you will back back as a team in future..
